Employee Benefits Update

During this session we’ll cover the latest in employee benefits. We’ll cover recent legal and regulatory updates, including certain “transparency” rules taking effect in 2022. We’ll discuss recent guidance under the No Surprises Act, the requirement for group health plans to cover COVID-19 tests during the public health emergency, and the extension of the Department of Labor’s “national emergency” and what it means for employee benefit plans. We’ll also discuss the DOL’s report to Congress regarding its enforcement of new mental health parity requirements applicable to group health plans that were added by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
