1:00 PM CDT to 2:00 PM CDT

Please join us for an update on the Affordable Care Act and other employee benefits news. During this session, we’ll review President Trump’s Executive Order on Protecting and Improving Medicare for Our Nation’s Seniors, which is intended to expand Medicare Advantage plans. We’ll also discuss the Order’s instruction to the Social Security Administration to no longer require people who receive Social Security to enroll in Medicare Part A, which will expand HSA eligibility for employees over 65.

We’ll review a court case involving a COBRA issue that was recently overturned on appeal in the employer’s favor. Lastly, we’ll discuss arrangements that purport to save employers significant amounts of money on FICA taxes through the use of a wellness program or indemnity program paired with a section 125 plan.
